Mark Hobbs is Of Counsel with the Firm. In that role, he provides highly personalized service to select clients, advising individuals and families in matters involving estate planning and the formation and operation of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Drawing on nearly 20 years of legal experience, including previous board certification in estate planning and probate, Mark creates customized plans that address each client’s unique circumstances. Since January 2022, Mark has served as Executive Director of the Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation, where he leads philanthropic initiatives supporting charitable work in Waco and across the country.

A dedicated member of the Waco community, Mark currently serves as a director of Waco Family Medicine and Central National Bank, continuing his long history of nonprofit board service. His experience across the philanthropic, business, and legal sectors allows him to offer clients comprehensive strategies that align with their personal, business, and charitable goals.

Mark co-founded the Johnson Hobbs & Squires law firm in 2014 and served as its Managing Partner until 2021. He began his legal career in 2005 at the Beard, Kultgen, Brophy, Bostwick and Dickson law firm after graduating from Baylor Law School.

Before pursuing law, Mark was a Senior Associate in Deloitte & Touche’s Corporate Finance Group, specializing in business valuation and merger and acquisition advisory services. He later served as Finance Manager at Intrinsity, Inc., an Austin-based designer of high-performance microprocessors. Mark holds an M.B.A. from Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business (1998) and a B.B.A. in Finance from Abilene Christian University (1997).
