The Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution preserves the right to trial by jury. It takes courage, commitment, and resolve to protect these rights. Greg Love has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of his clients in state and federal courts across Texas and the United States since 1999. For over two decades, his practice has focused on patent litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury. Greg is a member of the prestigious invitation-only American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has served as President and National Representative of East Texas for the organization.          

Greg’s extensive litigation experience includes acting as lead and local counsel in patent cases in the Eastern and Western District of Texas, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has also served as lead counsel in patent cases in other district courts including, New York, California, Washington, Michigan, and Florida. In addition to district court litigation, Greg has acted as lead counsel in hearings before the International Trade Commission.

Greg has represented inventors, non-practicing entities, patent-practicing plaintiffs, as well as defendants accused of infringement. Greg also serves as local counsel in patent litigation. His commercial litigation practice includes representing small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. Achieving results regardless of venue or forum, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for clients in commercial litigation. Greg has represented individuals catastrophically injured through the negligence of others, involving oil field injuries, commercial trucking negligence, product liability, and workplace injuries.

Recent Patent Cases
  • GreatGigz Solutions, LLC v. Healthcare Express, LLP – Successfully negotiated early confidential settlement for defendant Healthcare Express, LLP. 
  • Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. v. Verizon Communications, Inc. et al. – Represented Huawei as local counsel, argued in multiple discovery hearings, conducted jury selection, and presented Huawei’s damages expert at trial.
  • Nanology Alpha LLC v. WITec Wissenchaftliche Instrumente und Technologie GmbH – Represented WITec as trial counsel, conducted jury selection, examined all damages-related witnesses, and gave closing argument, limiting plaintiff’s damages claims to a fraction of the original claim.
  • Tinnus Enterprises, LLC v. Telebrands Corporation et al – Conducted jury selection, cross-examined the plaintiff inventor, and presented the defendants’ damages expert. 
  • Allergan Sales, LLC v. Sandoz, Inc. – Represented Allergan as local counsel in a Hatch-Waxman bench trial, resulting in a finding of infringement and validity in favor of Allergan.
Recent Commercial Litigation Cases
  • Weimac LLC et al v. Fireman’s Fund Insurance – Currently representing Weimac (and affiliate restaurants) in business income loss insurance claims as co-lead counsel in the Western District of Washington and the Court of Appeals for 9th Circuit. 
  • Butler Masonry v. Morrison Construction – Represented defendant/counter-plaintiff as lead counsel in this construction contract dispute, achieving a confidential settlement.
  • Zeid Women’s Health Center Ltd. v. Special Health Resources for Texas Inc. et al – Represented plaintiff as lead counsel in complex tortious interference with business and employment contracts, achieving a confidential settlement.
  • Corby Hall v. York Risk Services Group, Inc. – Represented plaintiff as lead counsel in breach of insurance agreement and bad faith litigation, achieving a confidential settlement.
Recent Personal Injury Cases
  • Brooklyn Mershawn v. Compass Group USA et al. – Represented plaintiff as lead counsel in catastrophic commercial trucking case. After extensive discovery, parties entered into a confidential settlement agreement prior to trial. 
  • Meador v. Apple & Modisette v. Apple – Acted as co-lead counsel for families who sued Apple Inc. in Texas and California seeking to hold it accountable for distracted driving deaths. The claims against Apple revolved around a patent filed by Apple in 2008 recognizing the need for smartphones to utilize a do not disturb feature while a user was driving. Following resolution of these cases, Apple implemented the “Do Not Disturb” feature for users to engage while driving. 
  • Acted as lead counsel in distracted driving case in Indiana involving a multiple fatality school bus crash. Represented the only surviving child in the crash. The parties entered a confidential settlement agreement prior to the filing of litigation.
