Ari Rafilson’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation. Ari has represented a diverse range of clients, including universities, research institutes, individual inventors, software companies, and patent-licensing firms, in complex patent disputes and licensing matters. His experience spans a broad array of technologies, including video streaming, magnetic resonance imaging, integrated circuits, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, LED displays, object-oriented software, motion sensing technologies, and internet search technologies, among others.
Ari was co-lead counsel in a recent trial that resulted in a $25.9 million jury verdict against Google. His prior licensing and litigation efforts have led to several seven- and eight-figure settlements for patent owners.
He particularly enjoys oral argument, and his efforts have resulted in repeated wins for clients in motions for summary judgment, claim construction, bench trials, and other matters.
During his legal career, Ari has been named to the Super Lawyer Texas Rising Stars list numerous times. Prior to law school, he worked extensively in the Computer Science arena as an instructor, systems integrator, consultant, and project manager.
