Biography
Kyle D. Adams grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and knew at age 11 that he wanted to be an attorney, despite having no attorneys or legal connections in his family. After graduating from high school he moved to Tokyo, Japan where he lived for 2 years as a missionary for his church. While there some additional opportunities could have created a different path for him, but Kyle knew he wanted to be in the courtroom advocating for his client. After returning to America Kyle continued with his goals and attended the University of Utah on scholarship where he received a degree in business. He immediately moved to the Midwest to attend Drake Law school, a private school that focused on litigation.
After graduating with Honors he returned to Salt Lake City and began working with a firm that focused on preventing clients from getting into litigation as opposed to actually litigating. The year at the firm reemphasized Kyle’s desire for litigation, which took him to Washington D.C. where he utilized his Japanese to work with an international firm focused on Japanese corporate litigation. Kyle returned to Salt Lake City to join a firm wherein he focused his entire practice in primarily consumer-oriented litigation, including personal injury, civil litigation, business litigation, medical malpractice, and domestic issues. After only two years with the firm Kyle became the youngest equity partner of the law firm and helped it grow from a team of 15 to over 100. He relocated to Waco, Texas specifically to join CJSJ and continue to advocate for clients with a group of like-minded attorneys.
Kyle has twice been recognized as Utah Legal Elite for litigation, a prestigious accolade voted on by peers and the judiciary. Kyle has also been recognized by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star in 2021 and 2022, receiving the regional “Mountain States” honor. He has been rated by Martindale-Hubbell as “AV Preeminent”, specifically receiving the rating in “Ability and Ethics” for each year from 2017-2023. He has also been honored as a “Top 5% Most Honored Professional” by the American Registry and a variety of additional accolades related to client satisfaction. Kyle believes strongly that by putting the client’s needs first and foremost then everything else will react accordingly.
Kyle fell in love with Texas when he first visited as a child and has always wanted to live here. Through a series of events he met the group at CJSJ and knew it would be the right fit for him, and that his wife and four children would thrive in Texas. When not working Kyle loves to play with his 3 sons and 1 daughter. Kyle was born and raised a University of Utah football fan and has instilled the same passion in his children. The family has been excited to be in Texas where “football is life” and can apply the same passion for the Utes to Texas teams. Aside from football and sports, Kyle loves to fly fish, powerlift, and play the drums.
